A Driveway Paving The Road To Your Log Home

driveway,images,photo,pictures

Not to many people think about their driveways untill they have to go to work and it's snow covered. You'll be surprised at how many people don't even think about this when they're considering building a new log cabin home.Building their log home is the only thing on there mind at the time.

The new design should be thought about so you know the best direction to position your log cabin home.

So, Here Are The Things to Consider:

Your Cost : Obviously, the size and length will determine how much you spend.

Your Neighborhood: Some area's have guidelines as to what type you can install.

Mother Nature : The slope of your lot.

Entrance : Do you have a clear view of both directions before entering onto the road.

SINGLE LANES : Should be 8 - 9 feet wide.

DOUBLE LANES : Should be 15 - 18 feet wide.

A slope of atleast 1/8 inch per foot is adequate for water drainage.

For proper installation , you should take off the topsoil and pack down the remaining soil before installing any materials.

Firmly compact any areas that have been excavated, like utility line trenches, as they can settle overtime and ruin your new installation.

The prices will vary but (larger jobs often cost lesson a square foot basis.)

Your best bet would be, to talk to several local contractors to recieve the best estimate.

There are Four Main Paving Materials to Consider:

Asphalt Drive

Concrete Drive

Brick Drive
