Brick Driveways, Cobbles and Pavers
Paving Driveways with brick, stone has been around for hundreds if not thousands of years and it carries a certain timelessnessthat is hard to beat for a log cabin driveway. The pavers are applied over a crushed layer of stone. This is followed by a layer of sand also well compacted. The sand provides a level surface upon to lay the pavers. The stone can be laid dry or set in mortar. The dried method is more durable. With the dried laidstones, the sand is swept over and into the gaps tolock them into place. Around the edges some sort of nice looking border is needed to keep them in place. These driveways are low maintenance, but should still be sealed every1-2 years for durability. Weeding in between the stones might need to be done every now and then or use a weed killer for upkeep.
